The Great Debate - Is Electrification a TDM Strategy

Day two of ACT's TDM Forum will kick off with an electrifying plenary session that will ignite fresh ideas and challenge conventional thinking about the role of electrification in TDM. As the federal government pours unprecedented resources into transitioning personal vehicles away fromcarbon fuels, it's clear that this will help curb emissions—but does it truly qualify as a TDM strategy?

Beyond personal cars, the electrification of public transit, private shuttle fleets, and micromobility offers an exciting opportunity to tackle greenhouse gas emissions, ease congestion, and boost mobility—three fundamental goals of TDM. But where should TDM professionals focus their efforts? Should we be all-in on electrifying private vehicles? Or do we need to shift focus to shared and micromobility options?

Join us as leading experts dive into the benefits, challenges, and untapped potential of fully embracing electrification within TDM, offering bold perspectives that are sure to spark new ideas and keep this vital conversation charging ahead!
