Transportation Management Association/Organization (TMA/TMO) Council

Purpose

The TMA/TMO Council is a volunteer collaboration of Transportation Management Association/ Organization (TMA/O) professionals who seek to inspire best practices and shared knowledge among similar organizations.  The Council addresses and shares information related to TMA/O’s, including public-private partnerships, program evaluation, marketing best practices, employer outreach, and the broad range of TDM services to reduce congestion and improve air quality.

Council Goals:
  • Be the go-to professional resource for every TMA/TMO at any point in their lifecycle;
  • Increase TMA/TMO participation in ACT and the TMA/TMO Council;
  • Grow the number of communities served by operational and effective TMAs/TMOs.

TMA/TMO Council Charter

ACT in collaboration with the Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) at the University of South Florida, developed the TMA Handbook as free resource for communities and stakeholders interested in developing a TMA in their region.
