12:30 PM Discover The Stitch: Reconnecting Atlanta Through Infrastructure and Innovation
Get a firsthand look at Atlanta’s next big thing in urban mobility and civic infrastructure. This walking tour introduces ACT Conference participants to the future site of the Stitch — a transformative project that will cap the Downtown Connector with a world-class park and reconnect long-divided neighborhoods.
Led by members of the project team, this tour will explore Phase One of the project, offering insights into the area’s history, the need for reconnection, and how the Stitch is designed to support multimodal transportation, equitable access, and vibrant placemaking. The walking route covers approximately 0.75 miles and includes sidewalks, street crossings, and areas with uneven pavement. Participants should be prepared to walk or roll alongside the guide. Learn more about the project at TheStitchATL.com.
