Midwest Chapter
Inaugural Midwest TDM Summit
Minneapolis, MN
The ACT Midwest Chapter is hosting the first Midwest TDM Summit convening public and private sector planners, engineers, and communications professionals alongside employers and developers to understand how TDM strategies can improve livability of communities in the Midwest while stimulating economic activity and encouraging efficient use of our existing and future transportation infrastructure.
Many public transportation agencies, local governments, businesses, and developers are already doing TDM – whether it’s communicating to the public and local businesses about construction impacts and travel options besides driving, promoting bike and transit commutes to employees, offering hybrid work schedules or telecommuting, building bike storage rooms to attract tenants, requiring developments to consider transportation access, or encouraging residents to try carpooling or transit.
All of these TDM strategies + more help people understand their transportation options and help them reach their destinations easily, affordably and sustainably. Join us to learn more about TDM with sessions focusing on how TDM can benefit your community and be a cost-effective way to meet safety, livability, and economic goals, including panels focusing on how different levels of government can work together, how employers can improve options for commuters, and how developers realize returns on their investments.
