UN Decade of Sustainable Transport Report
In January, ACT submitted input for the United Nations Decade of Sustainable Transport implementation plan. These recommendations focused on policy, collaboration opportunities, and specific initiatives that could aid the advancement of Sustainable Development Goals.
The association expressed interest in involvement through advocacy for policy and regulatory change and research, promoting public awareness and education, and facilitating partnerships across sectors.
Summary Report
This month, a report was published sharing responses and highlights from participating organizations. Global stakeholders submitted 113 responses, which represent organizations in 45 countries. This consultation provided valuable takeaways and alignment on actionable next steps.
Whether it be a strong investment in public transport, focus on creating multimodal transportation systems, and uplifting shared mobility solutions, feedback from other stakeholders aligns largely with ACT's mission and key TDM strategies.
