Reflecting on the 2023 TDM Forum
ACT was pleased to host the 2023 TDM Forum in Los Angeles last week from November 2-3. With more than 200 attendees, a packed program, opportunities to recognize industry leaders, and engaging keynote addresses, this year's event was certainly one to remember! If you missed out on joining us in person, read below to learn about some highlights from the event.
On November 2, the program officially began with a keynote address from Professor Donald Shoup about parking reform and policy. The day continued with breakout sessions focusing on TDM talent, ordinances, regional programs, incentives, and more. ACT was also pleased to welcome Conan Cheung, LA Metro's COO, to deliver lunchtime remarks about current priorities and how the organization is meeting customer needs. The day concluded with the association's annual 40 Under 40 Awards and a fantastic networking session on the hotel's outdoor deck.
The second day of the TDM Forum kicked off with a keynote from Sam Morrissey, VP of Transportation for LA28. This address highlighted how TDM, especially as it pertains to the upcoming games, will play a vital role in the Olympic and Paralympic Games' legacy. Attendees then joined engaging breakout sessions about TDM for large sporting events, federal funding, fare coordination, and more. Day two also included the association's annual TDM Excellence Awards, in which ACT was thrilled to recognize the exceptional work of six industry leaders.
This year's event was educational, fun, and extremely memorable, but it would not be possible without each attendee, speaker, sponsor, and supporter. Thank you to all who helped to make the 2023 TDM Forum such a resounding success!
