Introducing the first-ever Accredited TDM Organizations

General News,

ACT is thrilled to share that after a successful pilot program, nine organizations have achieved the requirements for ACT’s Accredited Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Organization status. This accreditation documents their commitment to administrative excellence, the field of TDM, and continuous improvement.

These high-performing organizations have proven they possess the governance, administrative structure, and integration with the broader field required to deliver effective programs and services. They are the first to achieve accreditation, which will last for three years. At that time, they must provide documentation of their continued excellence and improvement to renew their status.

“Seeing these nine organizations achieve accreditation further strengthens my confidence in TDM's future," said Thomas Cerny, Chair of ACT’s Accreditation Committee. "For the first time, thanks to these pilot participants and the dedication of numerous volunteers, TDM professionals have a clear framework to identify and implement key characteristics from top-performing organizations. I encourage others to pursue accreditation in 2025 so that, together, we can learn, grow, and elevate the entire field."

Accreditation highlights these organizations' commitment to advancing Transportation Demand Management (TDM) through innovative and sustainable mobility solutions.  It highlights truly commendable dedication to enhancing travel options, alleviating congestion, and fostering a more efficient transportation system.

“Establishing a universal set of standards for excellence benefits both the industry and all the people it serves,” said David Straus, Executive Director of the Association for Commuter Transportation. “Congratulations to these nine organizations for being industry trailblazers. Each is a meaningful role model for innovation, efficiency, and commitment to delivering innovative mobility solutions.”
