A note from Executive Director David Straus

General News, Public Policy,

Dear ACT members and friends,

As many of us have seen, January has brought significant upheaval and uncertainty from the new Trump Administration and 119th Congress. Many members have voiced concerns about the shifting landscape of federal transportation funding and the potential impact on critical projects and programs they manage. The wave of Executive Orders and accompanying memos from the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) has led to a lack of clarity and turned all standing norms for receiving federal funds on their heads.

At ACT, we recognize the challenges this uncertainty presents for our members. We want to assure you that we are actively monitoring developments, analyzing policy changes, and engaging with key stakeholders and elected officials to provide you with timely and accurate information.

Our goal is to keep you informed and supported as we navigate this evolving situation together. We encourage you to share any questions, concerns, or insights you may have, and we remain committed to advocating for the interests of our members.

To facilitate discussion and collaboration, we invite all members to participate in a virtual discussion on February 14 at 1 p.m. ET, where members can connect, share experiences, and discuss strategies for addressing these challenges. If you’d like to join the conversation, please sign up here.

Your input and engagement are invaluable during this time. We appreciate your dedication to advancing sustainable and effective transportation solutions, and we look forward to working together to ensure continued progress.
