Member spotlight: Dominic Haigh

Member Spotlights,

Meet Dominic Haigh, CRO and Co-founder of Trakk. Check out the spotlight below to learn about him, his time in the TDM industry, and experience as an ACT member.

Please introduce yourself and your organization.

Trakk provides a mobility-management and reservation system to shuttle operators, companies, TMAs, landlords, and agencies across the US. I am a co-founder and work with my co-founder Alec Summers (ACT 40 Under 40) to meet our clients' needs for a lightweight, reliable way to provide a best-in-class rider experience, optimize operations, and support a range of funding models.

What brought you to TDM and how did you get involved in the field?
After many years working on software ventures in other worlds I entered the world of TDM about 12 years ago when I helped a friend with a mobility-tech startup.

Why did you get involved in ACT?
ACT is a fantastic community of people from corporations, institutions, public agencies and vendors. The mobility space in general is rare in that the participants are genuinely passionate about their field, and this is especially true of ACT members.

What has been the most memorable moment of your experience in ACT?

It happens every year - I walk into the International Conference and am hailed from all sides by old friends from across the country.

What would you tell someone thinking about becoming a member of ACT?

Do it! You'll find a very welcoming community of people very willing to be a helpful resource to you.

What do you see as future opportunities and/or challenges for TDM?

The opportunities for TDM are only going to increase as we all realize we have to be more thoughtful about how we get around. The challenge is that no one of us has the complete solution, anywhere. We need to work together to meet the ever-increasing need for TDM.
