Professional Bio
Elizabeth came to the Transportation Demand Management industry, as many do, through a non-linear career path, which has included two degrees in European History, seventeen years’ experience in theatrical costuming, and several years as an editor. Becoming a bicycle commuter led her to TDM and Destination Sales & Marketing Group, where she worked as a business development manager in Arlington, VA for almost a decade. While at DS&MG, she encouraged mode shift to Arlington’s employers, residential properties, and to staff at Arlington Public Schools.
Working for ACT was a natural transition, after she had been a member for many years, volunteering on the Professional Development Committee and as president of the Chesapeake Chapter. As Director of Membership, she currently supports the amazing members of the Association, promotes the benefits of membership, and works closely with the chapters, councils, several of the committees, and oversees several of ACT’s professional development programs.
When she isn’t thinking about ACT and its members, she can be found sewing her own clothes, hanging out with her pet rabbits, and exploring Rhode Island.
