Ms. Turner also oversees customer facing interactions including the agency website, social media, community alerts, education programs, community relations, stakeholder collaborations and internal and external events.
A marketing professional with over 25 years of government experience, Dia specializes in being able to expand her governmental knowledge base, share best practices and explore opportunities where local transit agencies can partner to create and expand marketing campaigns for ridership, recruiting and education.
Prior to joining Culver City, Turner worked for the City of Lomita and the City of Beverly Hills. In Lomita, she was responsible for the City’s Emergency Management program, Housing Authority, Animal Control, Fire and Police contract management, traffic and parking issues and management and oversight of special funding. In the City of Beverly Hills, highlights include Emergency Management, Economic Development and serving as "face of the City" as anchor of the City news program, Beverly Hills in Focus.
Born and raised in Southern California, Ms. Turner earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism from California State University Northridge and is fluent in Spanish and sign language.
