Join the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT), Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA), and the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO) in a joint webinar sharing examples of great transportation projects near schools in Washington State, Ohio, and Washington, DC. Attendees will learn how strengthening partnerships with other transportation organizations can amplify great projects, get more people to use new infrastructure, and create safer streets for all.

Shelly Baldwin
Washington Traffic Safety Commission Director Shelly Baldwin is a pioneer in applying proactive traffic safety culture to an innovative statewide campaign called, TOGETHER WE GET THERE. The campaign moves away from fear-based messaging instead emphasizing steps all people can take to make our roadways safer. Ms. Baldwin has 25 years of experience in traffic safety, strategic planning, communications, legislation, and preventing impaired and distracted driving. She serves as a co-chair for the Governors Highway Safety Association’s Equity and Engagement Committee and as a member of the Federal Relations Committee.
Cary Bearn
Cary Bearn is a Senior Program Manager leading NACTO’s bicycle and shared micromobility programs. Cary is leading the update to the Urban Bikeway Design Guide, a multi-year effort that includes releasing seven working papers used to expand the scope of the updated guide. Cary also convenes roundtables, facilitates Cities for Cycling and Shared Micromobility peer network calls, and organizes workshops and other trainings to document and share best practices that make North America’s streets safer, more equitable, and more sustainable through biking. Before joining NACTO, Cary was the Chief Bicycle Officer for the City of Atlanta, where she led the City’s bike planning efforts.
Priscilla Ranjitkar
Priscilla Ranjitkar is a TDM for Schools Outreach Coordinator at Foursquare Integrated Transportation Planning (FITP). She has dedicated her career to promote sustainable transportation options and reducing drive-alone trips to and from District schools. As the lead for outreach in the goDCgo School Services program, Priscilla consults with private, public, and charter schools to enhance transportation programs and develop customized TDM plans to encourage sustainable commuting. Priscilla is committed to encouraging, educating, and empowering District students, families, and school staff to make sustainable transportation choices. She strives to provide the resources and guidance necessary to ensure that District schools have different sustainable transportation options.
