Add Your Organization to ACT’s Letter on FAA Reauthorization

Public Policy,
Take action by March 11!

ACT needs your help to add influence behind our request to House and Senate negotiators finalizing language within the Federal Air Administration (FAA) Reauthorization bill. Through ACT’s advocacy efforts in 2023, we were able to include language within the House version of the bill directing the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to conduct a study on the efficacy of TDM strategies at airports. This study would help set the foundation for increased investments in TDM programs at airports that would benefit millions of employees and travelers.  The same language is not in the Senate bill, which means House and Senate negotiators will need to agree to include the House language in the final bill. This is where we need your support. ACT has drafted this letter to negotiators, asking them to include the language.

All you need to do is, click here to add your organization’s name to the letter. We hope to collect at least 50 signatures to demonstrate broad support for the language. The deadline to sign on is March 11.

Why Important to ACT: Like Transportation Authorization, FAA Reauthorization must be passed on average every 5 years.  The bill includes important legislative changes related to the financing and development of airport capital projects and workforce development issues.  ACT believes there are opportunities through the FAA Reauthorization to encourage airports to take on greater responsibility for how passengers and airport workers access airport facilities, and that they should support the deployment of TDM strategies to improve access and reduce airport related carbon emissions.
