July 13, 2016
Congressman Moulten (D-CA), joined by a bi-partisan group of Representatives (Swalwell, Herd, Meadows, Issa, Bustos), introduced the HR 5625, the ‘Modernizing Government Travel Act’. This legislation would require the Federal Government to create regulations and procedures by which Federal employees may be reimbursed for business travel using mobility on demand services including, Bikeshare, carshare, TNCs, and other forms. The legislation also requires an annual report on the cost savings of using such services.
ACT strongly supports this legislation and thanks the sponsors of this important bill.
