Congress Clears ‘Modernizing Government Travel Act’

Congress cleared HR 274, the ‘Modernizing Government Travel Act’. This legislation requires GSA to create rules for how and when Federal employees may utilize shared mobility services while on government travel. The legislation also requires the issuance of several reports. ACT has endorsed this important legislation. ACT Executive Director David Straus has the following to say.

ACT believes that there are many ways we can better utilize technology and innovation to improve our transportation system. The legislation passed today will call for the Federal government to establish rules and policies that will protect the tax payer and look at more efficient ways for Federal employees to get around’
The legislation will now be signed by President Trump
